UK veneer prices 2026

Private dental costs only. NHS does not fund veneers for cosmetic reasons.

NHS does not cover veneers

Veneers are classified as cosmetic treatment under NHS guidelines. The NHS will only fund a veneer in very limited clinical cases (such as a severely discolored tooth affecting psychological wellbeing). In practice, essentially all veneer treatment in the UK is private. Budget accordingly.

Finance and payment options

0% interest finance (12 months)

The most common option at UK cosmetic dental practices. Spreads the cost with no added interest. Typical minimum spend required is £500. Standard credit checks apply.

Longer-term finance (24-60 months)

Available at many practices but usually carries interest (typically 10-20% APR). A £3,000 treatment over 36 months at 14% APR costs around £3,700 total.

Dental payment plans

Monthly subscription plans (around £15-£30/month) that cover check-ups and give 10-20% off treatment. Worth having before you start discussing veneers.

Medical credit cards

Some patients use dedicated medical financing (e.g. Chrysalis Finance, offered by dental practices). Read the terms carefully, particularly around deferred interest.

Dental tourism from the UK

Turkey is the most popular destination for UK patients seeking veneers abroad, with direct flights from most major UK airports and a large established dental tourism industry in Istanbul. At $250-$500 per tooth, a 6-tooth porcelain set runs $1,500-$3,000 plus around £600-£1,000 for flights and accommodation.

That said, UK patients have legal recourse if treatment goes wrong at a UK-registered practice (GDC registration, NHS complaints procedure). You lose that protection abroad.
